Sub-metering: What, Why & How March 31, 2016 8:00 to 10:00 AM

meterWhat is happening with sub-metering today, and what is coming? Learn about local law requirements for sub-metering in NYC and get the inside scoop from technology and real estate industry leaders about what sub-metering costs, how to best use the data and what it means for New York City. Hear industry experts discuss recent technology developments in metering hardware and software – from the basics to the gold standard.

Local Law 88 Lighting Upgrades and Sub-metering requires non-residential buildings over 50,000 square feet (and residential buildings with commercial tenants over 10,000 square feet) to upgrade their lighting systems and install sub-meters for commercial tenants. The law goes into effect in 2025, but owners who don’t upgrade lighting and install sub-meters during lease turnover now will disrupt tenants later–and spend more money to do the work.
