Services:

IGP, acting as Efficiency Advisor in NYC Retrofit Accelerator, assisted the cooperative in this Union Square landmarked building to participate in the High Performance Retrofit Track (HPRT) and reduce carbon emissions. The Owner is (i) installing custom double paned windows, (ii) commissioned an engineering study to determine the feasibility of replacing its hydronic heating system with Water Source Heat Pumps (WSHP) to provide on-demand heating and cooling using existing ductwork, including roof-mounted high efficiency condensing gas boilers. The Owner also explored using geothermal energy in its parking lot which was not feasible due to the dimensions of the lot.
