Fuel Conversion Project: New York City Building Code requires a fuel oil tank to be in a containment tub with sealed concrete floor and walls. If resting on floor (no saddles) install them. If partially into ground, follow DEC rules.

Location of new Meter Room will be to the right of the tank room doorway. The sleeve point of entry (POE) for additional gas service is near the top of the wall on the left.

Safeway, Con Edison's subcontractor for doing the E. 97th Street street excavation, marked the sidewalk where the trench will be dug for gas line to be connected to the building's property line.
